Hello all

Any tips please

We have booked flights

Going for 6 days from 28th to 2nd Jan

I am looking for hotels close to euro Disney if anyone has any recommendations?

Anyone been there around Xmas time?

We also hope to spend a night in Paris too
Looking for apartment hotels as there are 2a 2kids and we just want one bedroom

Thanks all

Feeling very lucky as we didn't realise we had some spare money from a piece of work on the house (this never ever happens)

We went there at the beginning of December, and it was so magical. We went in Disneyland california in August and whilst we had an amazing time, Christmas Disney is so much better. We stayed at the Santa Fe, which did the job.

Amazing thank you so much

Will take a look at the Santa Fe

And do we go for three day passes or pay as we go in each day?

our family has stayed at the Toy Story hotel before and it’s functional, walkable to the park ( we were in January), and the extra hour you get in the park is worth it, before the crowds in the
morning. Wrap
up warm, in waterproof layers, as it can be really cold and wet there in December

Can you stay off site and look into getting a pass? The passes used to be much better value and I know they have gone up but you get money off food, your own entrance ( sail in whilst hotel guest's are stuck in a long queue) early time.

If I had enough to Go for six days I would be looking at a pass.

Hotels off site but still on site I would go near the train station and Val de Europe shopping park.

So convenient and the didn't shuttle comes around.

I'd also do two nights in Paris and four in the park.

Make sure you get tickets in advance, I think you have to buy online and they can sell out.

Hotel Elysee is a really nice hotel that did more than, the basic job
.. Very nice, spacious rooms really decent restaurant, fridge in room, OPP first shuttle stop, close to excellent bolongerje and train and shopping mall

devils advocate!

Good as long as you are willing to queue, be in huge crowds (ie the parade) and pay through the nose if you want to eat anything on the premises. It’s extra busy at that time of year.

personally I’d always want Christmas at home, and I’d use the money for a blowout summer/autumn holiday. Disney is not worth the money.

how old are your kids OP? I feel like 7-10 is the prime age for Disney. Older than that is too old to properly appreciate it unless they’re mahoosive Disney fans. Younger and they won’t remember it, and there’s a limit to rides for kids that age.

When I was a kid, me and my sister got shoved out the way of watching the parade with some arrogant French adult men who wanted to stand at the front and bloody record it on their camcorder.

As others also say, similar to British weather so very cold and wet in December.

Adventurewillresumesoon · 28/05/2025 18:34

I’ll be there around the same time. Love Disney at Christmas!

Definately get your tickets before as it will be busy. If you book a Disney hotel you get to go in an hour earlier than staying off site. But lots of local hotels too. If you stay in one of the Disney ones you can pop back for a nap or to warm up/change clothes.

Ca55andraMortmain · 28/05/2025 18:40

Agree with pps that it will be busy but disagree with the person who said there would be 'huge crowds' for the parade. The parade has such a long route that although it technically does have a massive crowd, it's easy to find a quieter place to watch without many people in front of you. If you're worried about crowds for the fireworks id recommend paying for the priority viewing area which is much quieter too. We stayed at Cheyenne when we went and really liked it. We walked to and from the park to avoid waiting for buses and it was easy and not too far. Hope you have the best time!

Disney at Xmas is notoriously busier than other times of year. Same for Halloween at Florida Disney.

StMarie4me · 28/05/2025 19:12

We went 24 years ago. Was really magical.

Really helpful thanks all

Hope it won't be too cold
