Chat GPT colour analysis

Is it accurate? Mine came back as Soft Summer. Everything very muted and dusky. I always picked stronger/brighter colours for myself. But have not had a serious shop since being older.

I would say take a photo of yourself as you are and then one in soft summer colours (if you don’t have anything then drape some colour by your face). Make sure you include makeup as well if you can. Then wait a couple of days and look back at the photos and see what suits you. I paid for a professional colour analysis a few years ago and when I look back at the photos the colours don’t suit me at all and I look really washed out ! I am a soft summer and look best in those colours. Use Pinterest to get some ideas of outfits and what suits you.

Mine came back with cool summer, I wouldn’t wear many colours on the palate - eg instead of lilac, beige and khaki I’d chose teal, rich purple, bright red.. Some colours I would wear. The picture it sent back of me did look correct however, so it made me question the same.

The swatches suggested for me look like Jigsaw colours from 20 years ago. Everything looks like it has been diluted with a drop of grey/brown. If I was choosing clothes I would go for the pure reds, blues and yellows.

also recommends silver rather than gold. I have always erred towards gold as it feels warmer.

Thanks for the suggestions, will try and find some of the colours and drape them.

The soft navy and off white definitely works.

I don't see how as first its not accurate at the best of times (people really give it too much credit), but also you'd need to see the person in person, colouring is always different in a photograph

This is a bit better. I asked for brighter versions. Certainly not looking to replace my wardrobe. When I replace any basics will try these. They just don’t feel like me. If I open my cupboards it is navy, white, with pops of red and yellow. Saying that I once had a light khaki dress and got so many compliments in it. Also a light turquoise dress.

My Chargpt said I was a soft summer too and when I look at the colour suggestions I can definitely see colours that I gravitate to so im fairly happy with the analysis. I had a look on Open AI yesterday and noticed there was a specific AI for colour analysis. If you’re doubting your initial analysis I wonder if it’s worth trying that one rather than the generic AI. ( I found the Excel AI was better at building spreadsheets than ChatGPT so maybe worth a shot )

Divebar2021 · 27/05/2025 12:05

Of course you can wear any colour you want and there are ways of mitigating it if it’s not the most “ enhancing” colour in the world.

HollyBerryz · 27/05/2025 12:10

It didn't match the one I paid for

Denimshorts · 27/05/2025 13:25

@Divebar2021 I just tried via OpenAI. It took me to ChatGPT. Came back as Soft Autumn this way

@Denimshorts

When I go into Open AI on my laptop and peruse the AI’s there are a number of different options. There’s ChatGPT , Excel AI, a travel one… basically lists of AIs that apparently specialise in certain things. Among them is a Colour analysis AI. I haven’t tried it so I don’t know if it’s better than ChatGPT.

( caveat - I pay for access so it might give me more AI’s to choose from im not sure. Apologies if I’ve misunderstood your post.)
