I have a delma. Right so I'm trying to make this area solid.as I'm going to have 3 or 4 wheelie bins there .

So far i have a sub base of mot1. Which looks like this see pic with lumpy stones. If I was to add grano dust it would look look like this see other pic.

To add the grano dust it will cost about 100 pound.

The thing is I'm feeling a bit tight with money 😅 so I'm trying to think If there's something else I can do that's cheaper

You would need approx 2 bags of cement and 12 bags of sharp sand, a wheelbarrow to mix it in, and yes, it will be hard work. The bags are 25kg each, so heavy lifting.

Another alternative might be to just spread sand on and see if you can get some paving slabs from market place or something.

Ultimately, your options are limited. You either need to pay someone to do it, or do it yourself which will involve some effort. Do you have anyone who could help?

No one to help. And I don't want to pay anyone. I'm not worried about the heavyhess as such as I can do it a bit at a time. Its more the mixing. I know my arm will ach in less that a minute.

I won't be able to do paving slabs via a free site as I don't have transport.

I'm thinking I may just have to get grano dust

I don't know what you mean by grano dust I'm afraid.

You could divide up into squares and do a square at a time to reduce mixing.

I don't have any other suggestions I'm afraid.

Beautiful. Not quite a haiku, but moving nonetheless.

Grano dust is a bit like a sand texture. But you lay it rack it so its even. Give it a sprinkle of water compact it. Then it drys hard bit like tarmac.
