No booking bottomless brunch in Liverpool?

Just that really.
Going in June and we fancy a bottomless brunch but we don't want to book because we don't want to be tied to a plan. So if you know any, please advise, Google is not helpful.
Thank you!

Bumping for you! Sorry no specific places.

My experience of not booking in Liverpool is that you won't get in - but that was for dinner on Saturday night, though there were only two of us. We couldn't find anywhere within a reasonable walk of Albert Dock that had a table. Liverpool is IME a party town where people like to go out, and especially if you have a larger group, I would book.

We were going to go here as reviews are good, outside tables are for walk ins ( groups under 10) so don’t need to book. Might need to wait though. Sadly it was pissing down. Weather has been fab recently so might be an option.

Just book!?

allthemiddlechildrenoftheworld · 26/05/2025 07:31

@Kione sadly, we dont have bottomless brunches in scotland!!

DonewhatIcando · 26/05/2025 07:40

No experience of Liverpool.
I live in York and you'd have no chance of getting a bottomless brunch here without booking, I appreciate that York is a lot smaller than Liverpool.
Can't you just book somewhere and if your plans change cancel it?
Or course that would mean you probably won't get in anywhere

anon2022anon · 26/05/2025 07:43

I'm going to one next weekend in Liverpool, we booked maybe 6 - 7 weeks ago, and it was hard going finding one that wasn't booked up for large groups then- lots of the fun looking ones were fully booked, with only chain ones available.

Lostworlds · 26/05/2025 07:44

I went to Liverpool a few weeks ago and couldn’t get in anywhere without a booking so I would book but a few places required card details to secure the booking and said they would take a payment if cancelled in short notice.

@allthemiddlechildrenoftheworld what? 😂 I live in Scotland and had a bottomless brunch last year

We did turtle bay, it was alright. Food was quite small portions but the drinks included varied and included cocktails. I would advise having some extra food as most of our group left hammered 😂

according to our stupid alcohol laws they are not allowed in scotland.

Is bottomless brunch illegal in Scotland?

Bottomless brunches aren't allowed in Scotland due to the Scottish licensing laws around alcohol. A few places have tried to launch them but they tend to disappear fairly quickly.

OMGitsnotgood · 26/05/2025 07:53

Not all bottomless brunches are equal, some have better quality food, more choice of drinks and longer for bottomless. If you can find spaces on the day, I expect they will be the less highly rated ones. Most here (not Liverpool but similar city) take deposits when booking. I would book and work your other activities around it. Or make a list of the brunch venues you like the look of and ring round the night before / on the day, being prepared to be disappointed.

I did explain why we don't want to book

You did, but what people are saying is that you will need to be tied to a plan if you reliably want a bottomless brunch in Liverpool.

Panickyanicky · 26/05/2025 10:36

I think a key bit of info is missing here, what day of the week are you planning to go? at the weekend you've got no chance but during the week quite a few places will likely have last minute tables.

Kione · 26/05/2025 10:46

We rather be not tied to a plan than have bottomless brunch I think! It's two very busy people and honestly need to just sit and chill and stroll around and see where we go, that's all. But, knowing we definitely have to book, we will think about it.
We are going Friday to Sunday, in June. I know.
Again, thank you.

babystarsandmoon · 26/05/2025 10:49

It won’t be a chilled weekend if you have to spend most of it walking around looking for somewhere to go when you could make a simple booking.

Kione · 26/05/2025 10:53

But we don't have to book for pubs do we? And shopping... the eating part we might have to think yeah

LetMeGoogleThat · 26/05/2025 11:31

There are loads of places to eat in Liverpool, and most have some kind of luch deal on. But, I agree with PP, if you want bottomless brunch specifically you would need to book. If you fancy chains, stick around L1 and the waterfront. If you want more independent, take a stroll along Bold street.

madnessitellyou · 26/05/2025 11:43

I don’t know Liverpool but like so many have said, you need to book something. Surely you can still have a fluid, flexible day but with the knowledge that at noon or whatever you’ll eat?

The city I live in you can’t even wander into Pizza Express on certain days.

Hoppinggreen · 26/05/2025 11:53

Why do you want a Bottomless Brunch?
If its to eat the food is usually awful at them and if its to drink then just find somewhere with cheap drinks or 2 for one cocktails

No, but you might need to wait a bit for a table.

Bold Street might also be ok if you've no reservations.

If it's sunny, there's an event on, or if Liverpool are playing at home then you'll need to book (people were complaining there was a two hour wait for a table at Nandos yesterday).

No3392 · 26/05/2025 12:03

It's really difficult to get a restaurant without booking at the weekend.

Unless maybe a wether spoons.

Kione · 26/05/2025 13:31

Thank you all. I think we will book one bottomless brunch, it's to drink without spending much after a shopping morning. Will book for the meal on Saturday and my guess is dinners will be chips anyway 😅
