I think a lot of come together references Lennon and Yoko’s experiences with Heroin.

Come Together was Timothy Leary's political slogan. The song was commissioned by Leary, however Lennon couldn't get his actions together enough to write the lyrics and he said himself, it's a nonsense song.

Not everything is about sex when it includes the word come
