Wegovy question?

Hi guys

So I'm 7 weeks into Wegovy and down 33 pounds. I was dieting myself before this with a little bit of success, trying to overhaul my mindset and binging.

99% of the time I'm eating very healthily and not really been in the mood for anything fatty. However, on the 2 occasions I've had even something unhealthy, say a burger, even with the rest of the day being healthy, I get awful diarhea. The last time I lost 4 pounds overnight because I was so poorly.

Is anyone else finding this? That you eat 1 unhealthy thing and the diarhea that follows is horrendous?

Just curious as its bloody awful :(

I've heard of that symptom. Also, make sure that you are eating a lot of protein and doing weight training or you will lose muscle mass and bone density. I predict that there will be a flood of lawsuits in coming years for the "weight loss" use of this drug for people that are not Type II when young people get osteoporosis years ahead of schedule.

Although it is a game changer for the morbidly obese and Type II diabetics, for those who do not fit that criteria and are using it to lose weight easier and faster, it will have negative effects down the road.

I think if it triggers diarrhoea for you then the answer is to avoid those particular foods. I have had some gastric upset (taking Mounjaro) when I eat specific things, not fatty but things that I think I’m finding harder to digest. So I avoid those altogether and have not had any repeats.

I’ve heard this too. A friend of a friend has had great success in 5 months going from size 22 to 14 but as soon as she eats a slice of cake/something too sugary or fatty she gets immediate ( as in run to the loo right now) diarrhoea

Yes that's just like me, I mean I guess it works as now I'm completely put off eating anything sugary in case it sets me off. But its just not a nice experience 😕 Well done to your friend thats amazing 👏

I am classed as morbidly obese. I started off at 22st13 and stand at 6ft, so pretty much look like an elephant in the room 🥲 thank you for the advice...I do walking but no weights. Although I do lift my 3 year old and 1 year old a lot if that counts !!

Thanks, I'm definitely avoiding now. One occasion was my birthday and I still ate about half of what I used to but obviously can't do that anymore. Good luck on your mounjaro journey xx

In the first few weeks I would get very very nauseous if I ate something unhealthy. But two years in (and 3 stone down) I don’t get that feeling at all any more. The drug still works but the bad side effects have gone.

Mounjaro is supposed to have fewer side effects, you could try that?

Well done on the 3 stone loss that's fantastic!! I'm hesitant to change as when I eat healthy I barely have any side effects bar loss of appetite.I think it just shocked me but it has definitely put me off eating anything bad ...
