have always wondered though how you clean them? It would be nice not to fight with duvet covers but cannot see how you clean them

If you know where I can get a 15 tog superking coverless one, please someone tell me 😭

I think you just bung them in the washing machine.

I have an 8 kg tog washing machine and I’ve got the silentnight summer breeze one( I radiate heat!) which is 2 tog but feels heavier and warmer.
I was concerned it would keep slipping off the bed, but somehow it’s heavy enough not too.
My DS1 was changing covers for me( he’s 31 and helps happily) so it’s nice not to rely on him.
I have 3 sons, who would jump in their cars in the middle of the night if I rang them

you can buy a 10.5 tog in the same range( obviously not “ summer breeze!) and they are heavier than the tog rating belies but you’d need to wash at one of those machines outside supermarkets/ garages.
They fascinate me. I’m a bit sad and I love doing laundry!

I don't know whether it was me that recommended one to you but quite possibly because I sing their praises constantly!

To the PP that asked, unless you have a massive washing machine you would potentially struggle. Mine is 4 tog kingsize (I agree they feel warmer) and I can easily fit it in the washing machine with the sheet and pillowcases so just wash it all together. But I think a much higher tog and I'd struggle. I have a 7 tog one on our spare bed which is a double and just about fits and washes ok.

I just chuck a blanket over the top in the winter but I absolutely love them. All of our duvets including DDs' are now coverless versions.

But you can't fit duvets in most washing machines. I take mine to the local Swiss laundry or there's the launderette.

I did wonder that myself. The reviews I was reading said it went in the washing machine but that would depend on how mug your machine is. Our bed is super king so there’s no way that would fit in a regular machine.

Scatterbugg · 20/05/2025 17:41

They fit into a normal washing machine and air dry in a few hours. Mine do anyway. I have the fine bedding co ones (I promise I don't work for them!)
Such a time saver for me

Edited to add mine are double so perhaps the bigger sizes might not fit, idk?

notapizzaeater · 20/05/2025 18:48

We’ve a super king one here and it does fit in my large drum machine, they are fab as my sons ambition in life was to remove the cover off any quilt !
