Do you mean is it or isn't it "green triangle" . I think it's "Y" junction but we can't see all of it from your picture.

Y junction

A Y junction is where a minor road joins a major one at an angle that's not 90 degrees. This is a bit different because the minor road has been split into two branches before joining the main road. This effectively creates two Y junctions. I'm not sure whether there's a specific name for that or not.

Thanks for all your comments – is the new picture any clearer?

As I'm not from England, and we don't have this type of road layout back home, I've always wondered what it's called, even though I don't drive myself. My child has just bought a Highway Code textbook to start learning, but I can't seem to find the section that explains how this kind of layout works.

It looks like a very minor road as the white lines don't continue to the point where they would join up. If approaching the junction I would just observe and indicate carefully using the "branch" for the direction I wanted to go, give priority to traffic joining from the other side who may be crossing your "path".

Here is one where it's fully marked out and you can see one "branch" has been given priority. Each "corner" is a give-way junction. They are not very common.
