Looking for some inspiration - what’s your favourite baguette?

BAGUETTES RETREAT!!!

Ham and egg salad or roast pork stuffing and apple sauce 😋

Thinly sliced roast beef, stilton and rocket ...

Naice ham, mature cheddar, floppy lettuce, generously buttered. I like sandwiches with mayo/sauce, but prefer dryer baguettes to avoid unwanted squirting.

Beef, onion & cherry tomatoes or real ham, mature cheddar cheese & pineapple

From the local deli - homemade chicken tikka with red onion and cucumber and mango chutney 😍

Or... from the bakery near work - chicken, bacon and sweetcorn mix (in mayo) with salad.

Brie and tomato or egg mayonnaise

So many fans for me

Ham, coleslaw and cheese extra mayo no butter and black pepper

Thinly sliced medium rare roast beef, red onion and kentucky style bbq sauce

Brie, bacon and avocado with chilli Jam

Sliced smoked turkey, shredded Iceberg and mayo

Salami, rocket and sharp extra mature cheddar cheese with American mustard

Pastrami, dill pickles, sweet mustard and emmental

Mozzarella, tomatoes, pesto and basil leaves

Chicken salad Canadian style with thinly sliced celery and spring onions

Chicken, smoked ham , black grapes mixed with mayo on ciabatta, it’s amazing 🤩

Lots of butter, many layers of thinly sliced strong Cheddar, medium sliced very ripe tomatoes (from the fruit bowl, NOT refrigerated) and salt.

A packet of McCoys salt and vinegar to accompany.

Cold filling - coronation chicken or prawn cocktail with lettuce.
Hot filling - chicken, mozzerella, chilli jam and pineapple

BLT. A classic you just can't beat!

Chicken mayo and avocado or steak and onions

Prawn mayonnaise
Bacon, Brie and cranberry
Chicken, sun dried tomatoes, mozzarella and pesto.

I’m really craving a baguette now 🤣

Ham and home made coleslaw. Yummy! Almost making me hungry thinking of it and I've just eaten.

Avocado, crispy bacon, chicken, red onion, lettuce, sun dried tomatoes, sweet corn and a bit of mayo.

You were doing so well until sweetcorn.....

Bacon, Brie and chilli jam toasted.

Freshly cooked chicken, chorizo slices, spinach / rocket/ lettuce and mayo. With tomato slices sometimes.

Tuna mayonnaise, olives, red onion, loads of lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes, s and p. Wholemeal baguette please, no butter.

If I’m buying it ready made nothing beats the chicken and bacon Caesar from Pret.

If I’m making at home my go to is either mozzarella, green pesto, tomatoes and rocket or tuna mayo (has to be rio mare tuna though for some reason as I’m weirdly fussy) with lettuce, avocado, tomato and cucumber.

I had a hot roast beef baguette with caramelised onions at a pub last week was yummy..
At home l like ham off the bone with sliced beef tomato and deli coleslaw.

My favourite baguette order?

Still warm from our local French baker, with lashings of salted butter. Mmmmmmm
