Has anyone been to Potters Resorts?

I’m wondering if I’m too young? Or alternatively if in the school holidays there will be children everywhere?

I think I’m in a bit of a holiday no man’s land. Too old to want kids about, too knackered for a full on activity break.
Dont want to fly and flop. Like the idea of all inclusive

DH and I mid 50s, working full time, adult kids left home.

Is Potters what I’m look for?

Not me, but my friend who is late 40s went on one and enjoyed it. Said it was very relaxing with everything taken care off and good entertainment. They were the youngest ones there, definitely an older demographic with lots of retired people but not an issue.

My mum goes with some people from her bowls club to specific bowls weeks.
And a few people from my bridge club go to specific bridge week.
None of those people are under 75.

I don't know about non-themed / general stay though.

I’ve been but I went with a friend and our DSs. Lots of couples without kids were there though - I’d definitely go again. Although it’s now significantly more expensive than when I went!

Have been to both and prefer Hopton. Food is plentiful, staff are lovely and it has a really friendly inclusive feel to it. It’s the kind of place I always thought I’d hate but I love it. School hols there are families but outside that it’s twenties and up. Weekends tend to be younger than midweek breaks. What’s lovely is that it’s often multigenerational family groups or friends. It’s great fun dancing the night away and no one cares about looking silly.

Yes there is one close to my house. Good reputation and seen as a big posh actually- maybe that’s more to do with it being aimed towards couples that have had their children grown up and leave home.
I have been MANY times and I have never taken my children but I have seen the odd child. I wouldn’t recommend it for children as much more fun places, but it also isn’t a punishment!

Oh, this is very positive. I’m tempted even more now. If I go I’ll feed back to this thread

I thought this was going to be a Harry Potter themed holidayGrin
