I saw the optician recently and mentioned that I now get glare from things even in daytime. I do have astigmatism. She was not concerned.
I had the more in depth eye scan test and all was fine.
I do also have floaters which are bloody annoying and am very shortsighted in one eye. Not sure if either of these have any impact.
When I used to drive (now too disabled by unrelated issue) the oncoming headlights were intolerable so I stopped night time journeys. Tried special coating on my driving glasses which made no improvement.
Probably gets worse with age like everything else.

I’ve had this since my late 40s. I’m now in my 60s. I have astigmatism and early cataracts. I’ve never experienced the beams or rings of light around lights or headlights etc in the daytime though. Would be worth speaking to an optician or GP I think.

Thanks for the advice and guidance
yeah I’ve not been too worried about the nighttime thing as I know it’s common

perhaps this a sign of the eyes getting worse or getting a worse shape ?
more astigmatism if that’s a thing

I don’t drive much at night time now ans certainly not long distances I don’t know
just annoying this so now turning into a day time thing too 🥲🥲

I hope you find a reason for it being noticeable in the daytime and that there’s something that can be done to help.
