She had a scan for something else and they noted one ovary larger than the other

She's got spots, fortunately not severe acne but her spots seems deep?
Not sure what to do about that.... We've been to docs and had antibiotics and gels etc..
I've noticed in sun her face is hairy at sides and with some darker hair can't see except in sun but looks quite thick. She has hair from belly button down

And her hair on head is good but for instance can see her scalp through it when a little sweaty etc.

She's had bloods done which said OK and no pcos

..

How are her periods, OP (assuming she's started)? I went to the GP as a teen because mine were quite irregular and they ended up diagnosing PCOS from similar symptoms to your DD - one ovary particularly "bulky" as well as some very light hair on my face and spots. I don't recall my bloods being too off other than testosterone perhaps being a little high. The GP diagnosed me with PCOS and put me on the combined pill, which I got on really well with for about 15 years.

Then when it came to TTC I had some tests including another scan and bloods and was told that the criteria for diagnosing PCOS have got tougher and I no longer met them. The nurse was a bit sceptical about the change and suggested it might have a political (money saving) element.

Hope you get some more answers. Something the NHS is not great at is following up when the most obvious option reaches an apparent dead end - i.e. a GP saying "It turns out it's not that - case closed" (often now I'm a text message!). You have to be very good at following up and making another appointment to say "well what next then?". All the best 💐

@lallow thank you so much for the helpful response.
All good as far as her periods go but I didn't look at her results so I will and see what the cut offs used to be, thanks ❤️

Edited: Sorry was quoting lallow post, I don't know why it didn't do the quote 😅

I'm really glad I read this. I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early 20's after several miscarriages.

A few years ago ( I'm early 30's now ) I had to have some scans and tests as my periods were irregular and the consultant was really horrid to me and told me I didn't have PCOS.... when I questioned why I'd been diagnosed with it years ago ( on the scan in my early 20's there were black dots everywhere ) she made me feel like id made the whole thing up
