Booking hotels with children

I don’t have children so have really looked to see hotels policies when booking with a stay with under 18s
i am planning to take my 14 year old niece to London and wanted to stay at the Travelodge at Tower Hill, when trying to book if I put 1 adult and 1 child it offers me a family room at various Travelodges in central London but not Tower Hill so I am assuming they have none available. They do have ordinary rooms if I put the booking as 2 adults would I be ok to do this?

Book a twin room. Family rooms in a Travelodge usually involve a double bed and a sofa bed. Ring the hotel reception to confirm.

Book it for two adults as a twin room.

Some hotels don't have family rooms. The hotel description will clearly say if they don't accomodate under 18s.

I think it’s because most ‘normal hotel rooms’ are one (double/king) bed. Most people probably want a separate bed when travelling with children beyond a certain age. Some places don’t have twin or family rooms at all. I think you probably just need to clarify what sort of room you’re getting.
