Have you ever embarrassed yourself in a Teams/Zoom meeting?

I was in a meeting yesterday.

We were individually reading through and considering a very important policy document. So all was silent on the meeting.

The dog farted and I told her "You smell of cabbage, you fat twat".

I didn't realise my microphone was on.

In the early days of lockdown, I shared my screen but couldn't figure out how the share the right window so I ended up sharing a paused video of me trying to do a handstand. Colleagues were, of course, curious so I ended up showing them to whole video. Fortunately, it was only my small team so all fine.

I’m crying with laughter at the ‘I am Darth Vader’ story

This thread makes me feel so much better. Even though I don't have a comparable story, it's so reassuring to know life goes on even after mortifying yourself on Teams.

My biggest problem is that my brain won't allow me to find anything when I'm screen sharing... "Oh yes, good point. Let me just open x document to have a look" Not possible. I fumble around looking like an idiot. I have to stop sharing, then I find the doc and reshare. lt might be a subconscious protection mechanism to avoid sharing anything I shouldn't 🤔😂

Thought I'd muted it and dashed to the loo with a very dodgy tum.

Reader, it was not on mute. And it was a very small flat.

I was working in the kitchen rather than my office for some reason and my husband needed to grab his work trousers. I could see him dithering about whether or not to speed past in his boxers but when he finally went for it….imagine a man in a T-shirt and boxers crouching (but not low down enough to be unseen) with his arms in the air (sort of crab walk style) and then moving at a glacial pace, sideways on facing the camera. Everyone watched his random and ridiculous progress in my background. I should have quickly turned off my camera but I was so taken aback I just let it happen

That’s fucking hilarious! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
