Stopping vaping using nicotine pouches?

Hi, I’m horrendously addicted to vaping.
I’ve been a smoker/vaper on and off since I was a young teenager (I’m talking 11 or 12 stealing my mums menthols) and I’ve always gone back. I’ve had 3 children and obv quit whilst pregnant & mostly postpartum - most recently quitting Feb to Oct 2023, Oct to Nov 24, and now I’m trying again. Especially with disposable vapes going in June, as I find them incredibly addictive.
I went to return some clothes in Tesco and saw advertisements for Nordic nicotine pouches so thought I’d buy some. Today I’ve had 3 so far and it’s really curving the cravings, but now I’m worried I’m replacing one addiction with another. I’m not missing the vape at all so I know it’s the nicotine addiction that’s the killer for me!
Has anyone successfully quit smoking/vaping using pouches? I thought I’d see how many I have in a day, and slowly cut down. Is this sensible?
I really don’t think I can go cold turkey as I get so irritable and also turn to food for comfort! Would love a chat with anyone in the same boat. I didn’t even know nicotine pouches existed until yesterday and was planning on going on patches!

You're not replacing one addiction with another, it's all the same addiction - to nicotine.

By switching from smoking to vaping you have eliminated the vast majority of the harm. The most important thing is not to relapse to smoking.

Pouches are probably even safer because you're not inhaling anything, however if you are seeking to cut down to quit, you might do best with a refillable vape so you can reduce the strength gradually down to zero.
