50 things to do at 50

I’m making a list. I’m not awash with cash but want small achievable lovely things.

I don’t want a big party but do have a lot of friends, all quite disconnected from each other, so I’d like a list of things I can do with different people.

What would be on yours.

Big ticket things— Florence, I’d like to do some kind of walking challenge.

What else?

Best advice for being 50 - don't give a stuff about what you think people think. Just do it or say it, within reason of course.

Obviously I don't know you or those you are close to to be able to suggest things to do but enjoy your birthday eat lots of cake and don't drink too much.

If you haven’t done this already, take up weightlifting. I did it by joining a gym & signing up with a personal trainer, other MNers have used YouTube videos. It’s the best 50th birthday present I gave myself.

I'm 47 and making a list of 50 things to do before I'm 50. I have little to no budget, hence giving myself 2.5 years. Some of them are easily achievable, some less so! I have some activities such as learn to paddleboard, roller skate etc. Some places to go. I've got some walking challenges (Macmillen mighty hikes are a good ones, 13 or 26 miles, I did the Norfolk 26 miles). I'd love to do dance classes, pottery. Paint party?

I went to a Michelin starred restaurant for my 50th.

What sort of things do you like?

Go for a drastic makeover, experiment with new looks so that you feel your best

Try michelin star restaurants and fine dining

🙌

Ooh I have taken up weights @EmpressaurusKittyas I’m worried about my bones. Maybe I should up my game a little.

I am learning a new language.

i’ve done a half marathon a few years ago but my feet are knackered.

I do quite fancy pottery.

I would love a michelin star restaurant. Maybe I suggest that to DH instead of a gift. There’s nothing I actually really want.
