NPLQ lifeguard training?

DS was thinks about taking the NPLQ lifeguard training to help him be able to get a holiday/weekend job.

The only problem is he is very squeamish so is worried about the first aid training. He’d be fine with CPR etc but anything about blood or broken bones and he’d be a mess.

I’m very much assuming this means it would be a no-go for him, because I assume they’d need to be able to cope with everything?

(I should point out that he is actually very practical and has helped out in a few emergencies including a road traffic accident. It’s just the training aspect that triggers the squeamishness.)

I think he’d have to be prepared to deal with cuts and grades, knocked teeth etc. However he would presumably call for help if there was an emergency.

thanks @Turmerictolly Ironically I think he’d be fine dealing with actual injuries. It’s just the training I think he’d have an issue with. I’m curious to know if anyone knows how much is involved.

There will obviously be no real bleeding or broken bones in any training or testing scenarios so can he just reassure himself that anything he may see won't be real. If he really could deal with it in a real life scenario that is, last thing we need is Lifeguards fainting at the sight of blood or bones at funny angles.
