Closest UK equivalent to stress-free half-board hol?

I'd (for example) you'd left it too bloody late to get a reasonable price on a half-board hol abroad at May half-term, what would be the closest UK equivalent in terms of convenience/ease? I think the best thing for me about half-board or AI in a family-friendly hotel is not having to think about meals and having stuff to do on-site - usually pool, ping pong, crazy golf etc for us. We also take my parents who enjoy sitting in the shade watching the kids in the pool and playing endless Uno etc.

What could you do in the UK for a bot crazy-price that would have a similar feel/sense of relaxation? Obvs not Center Parcs as I haven't come into money. Is that basically the only alternative really though? Although even there you have to plan ahead and book restaurants and activities etc.

Have you double checked eurocamp?

I would be looking at Domaine Des Ormes in Brittany (not uk I know as you asked but this what I would be doing!!)

The Hydro hotels at Peebles and Crief offer what you're looking for. I think there's also some in Devon and Cornwall, probably others, eg Swinton Park, Masham.

However I don't know if the cost is on budget or what the availability is like.

You could try googling family activity hotels and look for dinner bed and breakfast offers, which is what half board seems to be called in the UK.

Or I they're too expensive perhaps look at a few nights in a Premier Inn or similar at a coastal resort as you'll know there's an on site restaurant for breakfast and dinner, which often has deals and perhaps have a holiday at home the rest of the week- treat food, days out, sit in the garden if you have one, as little as possible of housework etc.

UK hotels tend to be much more expensive unless they’re caravans etc.

I’m sure you can find a last min deal abroad that’s a better shot - check the sale and discount tabs on your favourite sites.

TLH leisure resort in Torquay is very child friendly a group of four hotels set round indoor and outdoor pools with other leisure activities on site.
Potters resort on the east coast totally AI and they allow children during school holidays. Plenty going on all day with loads of things to try and fabulous night time entertainment. They do offers which are worth looking for seems expensive but when you take in how much you can spend on drinks ect it actually works out pretty good value compared with other UK hotels.
