All inclusive - are they full of drunks?

I’m looking for a relaxing break on a Greek Island for my DH and I. We like a bit of luxury and I keep seeing offers from all inclusive resorts. They seem good value, but as neither of us drink alcohol for various reasons, wondered if the availability of “free” alcohol meant the place would be full of obnoxious drunks necking down the booze. Also, is it worth if you are non drinkers?

Not in my experience and we rarely drink and find them worth it. The alcohol is very watered down. Check out the reviews though that will give a better picture.

Very much depends. I would only ever go 5* all inclusive and even then I'm very selective about the hotel and resort. I avoid anywhere that EasyJet or Ryan Air fly to.

Just pay for full or half board if you don’t drink? I’ve been to a few AI oat one in the Maldives and not a drunk person in sight. If anything as it’s available I think people drink less!

It would probably be noisy with children rather than drunken

We did our first ever AI in Feb half term. A five star Iberostar in Tenerife. It was brilliant I didn’t start with the fizz at breakfast, about half the time had something at lunch. Saw no one drunk in the week we were there. My main concern was to have a really lazy holiday and to avoid needed to drive, my husband cannot drive currently.

I'm on the plane on the way home from
an AI holiday. I did not see one single drunk person.

I have been on cheaper ones and fancier ones and I have never seen a rowdy gang of drunk folk in any of them.

Maybe they would be over the limit for driving but not overtly drunken behaviour, rowdiness, falling over. Nothing like that at all.

We go AI to the Caribbean every year. Never see any drunkards. I’d imagine a cheaper AI in the Med might be a different story.

I’ve only been AI at an adult only resort. It was absolutely fine. Plenty to drink but zero bad behaviour.
