Electric toothbrush recommendations?

Babaganoush2013 · 26/04/2025 18:25

Have decided to go for a good electric toothbrush, especially as going through the menopause my gums aren't what they used to be in my 20's.

Can anyone recommend a good electric toothbrush? I've seen a couple good Philips toothbrushes and also Oral B.

Would appreciate any advice. Price is not a problem (within reason)

Thank you....

I don't know if mine is available but I have an Oral-B Genius 9000. I've had it for a few years and it's good.

I have an elderly Oral B one which stays at home and is good. Battery is a little bit weak now though so it needs to sit on the charger after each use.

I also have a nice, new Philips Sonicare, which is good and has a great battery. Doesn't need charging much as it lasts a long time and that is why it is currently my going away toothbrush.

I love my Suri.

Aluminium body, recyclable heads, charge lasts for months and actually looks good in the bathroom.

Have always used Philips Sonicare, every dentist i have been to recommended them too.

Another vote for Philips Sonicare. My hygienist gives me 10/10 every time!

I have a Philips Sonic, much better than the Oral B I used to have.

Another sonicare user. I'm menopausal and my gums are much healthier than with a manual toothbrush and my teeth are whiter.

Philips sonicare recommendation too. And a waterpic too.

Me too. Got it a few months ago and love it.

Very rarely needs charging, doesn't feel as 'strong' as my old Sonicare but very thorough.

Definitely recommend them :)

I have an Oral B pro which has been very good but is on it's last legs. I asked my dentist for a reccomendation (sp? sorry!) and she said the Oral B io3. I've put it on my Christmas wish list but haven't actually tried it. Dentist said don't go below io3 as there's a massive jump beyween io2 and io3, but anything over io3 is just cosmetic upgrade and the power is the same.

If you go over io3 you may need a different charger.
