Filling in party invites for my childs birthday party and I'm stumped on how to fill it in.
In the "For" bit is that for the invited child's name or to say its my childs birthday? (See attached picture)
Cant find anywhere else to put the name of my child is they know whose party they are going to
Feel like im going mad

I would put for: x's birthday party

sheknowsitstoolate · 25/04/2025 21:13

I would put birthday persons name

Cheepcheepcheep · 25/04/2025 21:15

Oh interesting - I’d say for is who the invite is for. I assume that teachers or nursery are handing them out so it’s important to know who the invite is ‘for’.

We have kids in two adjacent years so often it’s ‘for’ James or for Alex (y1) and Sophie (yR), depending on who is invited.

Cheepcheepcheep · 25/04/2025 21:16

Id maybe try write ‘mini Purple’s birthday’ at the top though so it’s clear.

Where would you say whose party it is? The teacher will put them in school bags and they'll have the invitees name on the envelope. Just think parents wont know whose party their child is invited to

Can you write small enough to say

For: Bob - please come to Fred’s 6th birthday party!

CCLCECSC · 25/04/2025 21:20

For (your child's name) (activity if applicable) party

Eg Harry's nerf war party

Invitee name on the envelope

beetr00 · 25/04/2025 21:22

wouldn't you put

RSVP for "Bobs birthday" to " x phone number"?

Hayley1256 · 25/04/2025 21:26

That bit is to put your child's name, you write on the envelope who the invite is addressed too

ItsCalledAConversation · 25/04/2025 21:34

For: Fenella’s 7th birthday unicorn roasting party
(Don’t put names on for the kids you’re inviting. That way, any spares/leftovers can just be handed on not wasted.

mindutopia · 25/04/2025 21:41

We used literally these invites recently. As others said, it’s for noting what you’re inviting them to, with the details below. Invitees name goes on the envelope.

KilkennyCats · 25/04/2025 21:44

That’s a very poorly laid out invite.
The “For” is for the invitee’s name, but the space for the birthday child’s name is missing.

Purplerainingon · 25/04/2025 22:53

Thanks, from the responses I see its not very clear. We're going to put for: DS 7th Birthday and the invitees name on the envelope, doubt any of the parents will notice just check the details!

It should really say 'to' not for. Unless you're inviting for dinner, which I don't think is the case, given the design...ha.
Where did you buy them from?

I don't think so...the "You're invited" part printed to the top is addressing the invitee.

As others have said, the "FOR" box is where the title of the event goes. It is up to the person filling out the form to decide if they also wish to put the name of the person who the event is for / who is hosting.

Example: "FOR: Darren Smith's 8th Birthday party".

The invitee's name goes on the envelope.

mondaytosunday · 25/04/2025 23:17

For: John’s birthday party!

ICantPretend · 25/04/2025 23:18

I think it should say to not for, so invited child goes there.

And then you just write RSVP 07986 123456 (Tarquin's mum, Fenella).

I do think they're a bit badly designed.

You could put that bit in the RSVP?
