Help! Anyone with a beko dryer

We had a new beko heatpump dryer delivered this week. It’s this one. Can anyone tell me how to get the reverse drum setting to work?! I can see the logo unlit on the panel and the manual lists it as a feature but I cannot for the life of me work out how to turn it on!!

I’ve got a Beko, looks just like that one, but never heard of reverse drum setting, what is it?

showmethegin · 23/04/2025 17:49

It’s so the drum turns both ways and stops the washing getting all tangled up. Our other beko heatpump dryer recently died after 5 years but only turned one way.

The reverse drum feature on my beko starts at the end of the cycle automatically.

The end of the cycle is to stop clothes getting creased - I usually beeps to remind you to take them out.

The reverse drum feature on my beko starts at the end of the cycle automatically.

So it just does it at the very end? I thought it would do it sporadically through the cycle so things get evenly dry?

Is it not doing it automatically? There’s no mention of it in the manual.

showmethegin · 23/04/2025 18:07

@angelcake20I’m not sure, I assumed it would but everytime I checked it, it was going clockwise. I’m going to do another load in a minute and see. There’s mention of it in my manual in the icons section, but no mention of how to turn it on frustratingly. It also stated on the AO website that it had this feature so I’ll be sending it back if it doesn’t work. My old machine only went one way which meant duvets etc would get all bundled together and wouldn’t dry properly.

This is the little icon in the manual and you can see it on my machines control panel (very faintly as I can’t get the bloomin thing on)

Does it just do it automatically during the drying process and the symbol might light up, that's how I read the information leaflet, I don't think you have to turn it on.

Yes at the end of the cycle.

Mine is a different model but beko and it does the reverse action just before the end of the cycle automatically. I don't know if it does it at other stages though, as I usually leave it alone and just make a mental note of, "oh that should be done by around 1.30" or whatever, so sometimes I catch the end of it, and sometimes it's already finished.

It does also rotate intermittently after the cycle has finished to reduce creases if you haven't emptied it. I imagine that may also alternate between clockwise and anticlockwise to be most effective.

Hi,
We have a Beko condenser dryer, everything is good and we've had it for about 2 years now, for about the last 6 months, it hasn't collected any water, we never empty it, it still works good but where is the water going??? can anyone help?
many thanks (in advance)

PeriMoan · 15/09/2025 23:54

Hi {mention:MarkieVarpa}@MarkieVarpa this post is acting weird for me... Anyway, just wondering if by any chance your tumble dryer is plumbed in? Or have you cleaned out all the filters, condenser and taken a look at the water container? It's possible there's a blockage somewhere so the water may just be "evaporating" into the air.
