A mouse 😭

Been living alone with DCat since September and I knew this day would come. He's brought one in and I am deathly afraid of mice.

It's got itself under the kitchen units. I've had to leave for work and won't be home until 11. Is burning my flat down a reasonable response?

Well I don't think you've got too much to worry about OP.

You aren't going to get over run with mice if DCat has anything to do with it!

If the wee mouse does venture out from under the kitchen units I don't think he will last long.

And he certainly won't be looking to set up home with you: he ll be looking for an escape route out of there!

Leave Dcat to do it's job.

I hope he finally starts earning his keep today or I'll be in a tent in the garden 🤣

Update - he has not performed his one job. I've put a trap as close as I can to it and hope that mousey likes a bit of left over Easter egg. DCat being shut in the living room tonight leat he brings me it as a present.

You clearly have not proven yourself to be a capable kitten and DCat had worries that you may not be able to hunt sucessfully.😬🫢

Being a nice, DCat had brought you a training aid which you promptly let escape 🤨 🙈

If your trap works be sure to let DCat see that you passed Basic Hunting training 👀

Nuke your flat from orbit.

But seriously can you not get DCat out of the kitchen, leave the door open (to the outside) and let the poor guy escape?

Edited

I live in the world's smallest flat so sadly not. And experience (well, when I lived with someone else and they did it) has proven that once they get under the kitchen sides they don't get out. I d feel bad for poor mousey!

I almost lost my fingers trying to push it under the kickboard, luckily he didn't see that and won't think even less of me.

Have you evicted the unwelcome house guest yet?🤞
