The Royal Mail is dying on its arse

Have friends that work for Royal Mail.
They tell me tracked parcels are the only thing that are prioritised.
Many posties bring letters back as they simply do not have time to complete a round.
If Royal Mail go to second class post not being daily they fear posties being made redundant.
Where did it all go wrong for this great national service,

It’s not a national service, that’s what went wrong for it. It was privatised while still needing to carry obligations and responsibilities of a much-needed public service, in a time when only profits matter. I assume there’s some sort of time limit on those responsibilities and once it’s up the company will sue for them to be removed or be treated equally with other private companies, and that will be the end until the need for states to maintain state infrastructure, not just the wealth of the super-rich, is recognised again. Which might be on the other side of a dark age.

Royal Mail always works great for me. The second class post always arrives quicker than it promises to.
