I love these threads. Often started by Lucysmam, so in the spirit...what are you up to?

Got up not much later than normal, shoved washing on and sat on MN for a while, got dressed, put the washing up, unloaded the dishwasher. Then some paperwork, a walk to Tesco for bread and milk and then some batch cooking.

Just done the ironing and put another wash load on. Not planning on doing anything else other than making pizza from scratch and a shower really!

Got the end of the long weekend/holiday blues now.

Been down by the beach saturday-sunday visiting in-laws so had a long snooze this morning. Followed by lamb dinner at my mum's. Back from some choc and cup of tea on the sofa. Me and DH are off for a quick walk soon a as the sun has come out here!.

Tonight we will have something light for dinner and will continue our crime series we have started!.

Cancelled our National Trust trip with friends (Wakehurst, so all outside) due to weather but it's actually turned out okay until now 🙄

Chilled out this morning, then I had a burst of energy and sorted out and put away a load of clean laundry.

I need to tackle some work bollocks tomorrow so I'm going to put together my smartest outfit.

I've just painted my nails ready for the week and am debating having some tea and toast.

Dinner will be something I've batch cooked in the freezer.

Pottered up to Oxford Street on the bus (weirdly quiet) to buy a new jacket from John Lewis, with breakfast on the way. Now home and on the sofa with a book.

Thinking about the ironing. Only thinking mind.

My son is visiting for couple days so got up with him and chatted while we had brunch. Then he went off to walk dog, go to shops for bread (as he ate everything we had). He also mowed the lawn and did a tidy up of the garden! DD home from uni is busy writing an essay, two are due next week. I’m crocheting her a belt while watching YouTube, soon to assemble a lasagna for dinner. Then a film if we can agree on one!

Managed to drag myself out of bed just before 9am to get some work done ready for tomorrow: I needed to update seating plans as I've slightly adjusted my classroom layout, and plan the first couple of lessons back.
Finished that by 11.30am, so DH and I then went on a mission to find top soil and turf as we need to fix part of the lawn in our garden. We've paid a gardener to do this and he's coming tomorrow so we wanted to wait until today to get materials to the turf was fresh.

When we'd finally managed to track those bits down (was manic/vile out there - remind me to never do anything like that on a bank holiday again!) we got home and I made some pizza rolls for the DC's lunches this week and put together a lunches for me and DD for tomorrow - DH is WFH and DS has an INSET day. I also de-Easter'd everywhere so the decorations could go back in the loft. DH put some pictures/hooks etc up (we've not long moved into our house) and then cleaned our bedroom and re-made the bed with fresh bedding.

Now he's nipped out to get garlic bread to have with spag bol for dinner, and to put the car on charge; I'm sat resting a very sore knee (torn meniscus) and about to get off MN to go and play The Sims and pretend I don't have to work in the morning.

Shower, face/feet mask and reading before an early night this evening because I do actually have to work tomorrow. Boooo!

We’ve been away most of the weekend, got back last night. Had a lovely lie in this morning, not asleep but just lazing in bed.
Came down and sorted out the house a bit as we literally dumped bags last night and chilled out. Done a couple of loads of washing, went for a walk to drop off something to a friend and then came back, changed the sheets and just sitting down to watch cool runnings with ds as dh starts the roast.
basically a typical sunday kind of bank holiday monday for us minus my usual swim.
Semi looking forward to normality resuming tomorrow but that also means shit traffic on the commute again and general rushing about in the mornings!

Out for a walk with our dog this morning, picked up milk and bread on way back.
coffee and toast then DH chopped wood and I bagged/ stacked the logs.
Gammon steaks with broccoli and leftover potato daphnoise for lunch.
its raining now, watching films, tomato salad later and rhubarb crumble.
