What would happen to exams in this scenario?

If Russia launched a full-scale nuclear attack on the UK during May/June when GCSE and A-Levels occur, what would happen to those exams and to universities who need the results? This is as they were cancelled during COVID so I was wondering what would happen in such a scenario.

If Russia launch a full scale nuclear attack on the UK then GCSE and A-level results won't matter. It will be game over instantly for those of us in cities with a nightmarish few weeks for those a bit further outside. If you live very remotely or have access to a bunker then you might have a few months adjusting to a post-apocolyptic world. Feeding yourself and protecting yourself from those without food will be your priority. Not whether you could have got a 7 in GCSE Science.

If this is a GCSE Critical Thinking assignment I am going to award you an F.

One of the wild assumptions of UK emergency planning in the 60s and 70s was that the "school meal service" of local authorities would help with post attack feeding and cooking for survivors.

By the 80s it was realised such plans were pointless due the expected number of warheads that the UK would receive even in the "best" scenario.
