Is a Tonie Box worth it for a 7yr old?

DS is turning 7 in a few weeks and has no ideas on what he wants. Yesterday we were at my sisters house and my nephews have a Tonie Box. DS seemed to really like it and he sat with it for quite a while. He’s a great reader and absolutely devours chapter books now and he loves learning about pretty much anything and everything! It looks like there’s quite a decent selection of tonies for his age group but I’m not sure if it’s something he’d quickly grow out of using or not.

We love ours
have heard the yoto is better for older dc though

I’d have a look at a Yoto player, it’s similar but slightly more longevity for him.

It has a much better app too!

I've often thought the same but for me the price makes it too much of a risk .

No, it's excellent for younger kids, but not enough choice for older. The Yoto/ mini yoto is much more flexible.

We have a tonie for my 3 year old but would chose a yoto for my older dc

Definitely a Yoto rather than a Tonie. More choice that covers a wide age range and cards instead little figures, easier to carry

Oh I haven’t heard of the Yoto, thank you I’ll look it up!
