Spray starch that doesn’t need ironing

DH has a material hat with a broad brim which has gone a bit floppy. I was thinking of getting some spray starch but the only ones I’ve had before were to spray before ironing, and I don’t want to iron the brim.
Has anyone successfully used a spray starch without ironing? If so which brand? Ideally it would be a product you could be ironed so I can get more use out of it with other things but priority is to fix this hat.
Or any other suggestions if not starch. Thanks

Is the hat very ££ or very precious to him? There will be places that re- proof coats and the like .
Otherwise I think with starch it needs heat to activate it .. so you could use a thick cloth as a barrier between the hat and the iron . Tryan inconspicuous bit first

And if you post this on Housekeeling under Home&Garden there will be someone with the definitive answer 😄

Thanks 70s. I almost posted it there but decided it was a bit niche and maybe would get more traffic in chat. It took him a long time to find a hat he actually liked which would protect his face (skin cancer so needs to be careful), it’s just gone a bit floppy. I did think I could spray and iron it with something in between, it would just be easier to be able to spray and leave but yes I agree, it probably needs the heat Thank you.
