Good Morning All! Anyone for a what are you up to this Good Friday thread?

I'm in my usual kitchen spot, still looking at moved stuff & clutter after last week's rewire but not getting anywhere sorting it out. The cats have been fed (by dd1 🤯) & have vanished back to bed. I've been awake since 6 ish but snoozed for a while on & off.

Dd1's left already to catch a train & go join the queue for Inhaler at The Leadmill tonight. There were 20 or so people when I spoke to her. I'm joining her later...fully prepared for an argument with the person who has put themself "in charge" of the queue & is handing out numbers 🙄 apparently someone dd knows has joined & they wouldn't do a +1. They do my head in. I don't particularly want to queue all day, but I'd rather dd wasn't sat on her own alllllll day. & I'm not not joining her just because I have an appointment...bloody stupid.

I'm off for my 3 monthly cancer meds later today & to collect my tablets from the hospital pharmacy. Then nip home to drop them off, and catch the train to meet dd. I'll pick up some sort of snack on my way.

Dd2's off Easter egg shopping with their dad...goodness knows what eggs we'll end up with 🤷‍♀️. Hopefully they remember the other bits we need too! She has some homework to do, and then wanted to do something for English revision too, so she'll probably do that when they get in.

We're going to both Leadmill gigs, so it'll be last bus home for me and dd1, and straight to bed after a cuppa for me 💤.

My brain thinks it’s Saturday, especially as we were out for dinner last night. This thread is cementing that Saturday feeling for me 😂

Slow morning for us as usual, just put a wash load on and going to nip to the co-op for some eggs. Bacon and egg sarnis all round. Got an hours work to do around 1pm then we are taking the kids to see the Minecraft movie, can’t say I’m looking forward to it but Jack Black will get me through it I’m sure! Will buy a bbq after, as ours give up last year, in preparation for our first bbq of the year on Easter Sunday. We first did it during Covid when we had that beautiful weather and have carried it on ever since. We aren’t a religious household but Easter Sunday is one of our favourite family times just the 4 of us.

Not sure what’s for dinner tonight, will grab that whilst we’re out later. I’m thinking carbonara? Then it’s DD’s turn to pick a film and I have feeling it will be Wicked. She’s been dying to see it and it’s only £4 to rent on Sky at the moment.

We all had a lie in here after the Man U excitement last night (I’m the lone female in a house of Utd supporters) DS2 and DH were at Old Trafford last night and DS1 was watching it at home and yelling at the tv so it was a late one!

DH just brought me a coffee in bed as we have no kitchen. Been ripped out this week and new one being fitted next week. No idea what we’re going to eat this weekend. Sigh. Need to get more paper plates. I can’t wait until it’s finished!!

So, no plans here at all which is really unusual. We’re a busy family up at 5am in the week at 7am weekends for football so it’s a rare treat to be in bed at this time. Dcat keeps coming to scream at me because she wants feeding so will need to get up soon!

Quiet day here, I’m packing for a house move so I haven’t even got our Easter box of random decs out this year.

Dh is dropping ds and friends off at Thorpe Park, then we are taking the dog out for a quiet walk. The house is a bit chaotic with teens home from uni! Therefore I’m out walking quite a bit for my sanity

Salmon for dinner and I’ve just put a bottle of fizz in the fridge for later. Some chocolate eggs will be consumed shortly. Happy Easter everyone!

We were going to visit a NT castle but are too tired (I’ve been ill) so instead we will take the dog for a nice walk in a little while, then DH is going to take DC into town for a few bits and I am going to take to the bed with some work to get on with.

Morning all. Had a long lie till 9, after a busy week looking after sick relations. Leaving at lunchtime to pick up granddaughter who stays with me on Friday nights. Love her to bits, she's so funny only 6 but worldly wise.

@dontforgetme it does feel very Saturday like today!

Hello @lucysmam and everyone! I wasn't expecting this today so it is a lovely surprise! Hence my coming late to the party.

@Rainbow1235 I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Things are pretty crappy for you at the moment.

I've had the week off work, but I have ended up spending quite a lot of time in the ED. I have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and my heart has been playing up this week. Typical! What makes it worse is that, due to the cancer meds I am on, which have contraindications with a HUGE number of other drugs, I have basically been told that it it happens again (which it will) I just have to ride it out as there are no additional drugs they can give me which don't interact with my other meds. The exceptions are if I am in a huge amount of pain, have swelling of the hands or ankles, or there is obviously a contributory cause which can be treated. I get so short of breath that I can't do anything at all when I'm having an episode, so that is pretty shitty 😞. However, every cloud has a (very small) silver lining, the consultant on duty in AMU was a delightful man who was in the team I supported when working on setting up our Virtual Ward, so it was nice to see him again.

I'm better today so went out to get the Easter eggs for my local daughter and her family. Far away daughter and grandson had theirs delivered by Amazon last week.

Had a lazy morning (very lazy for me, I didn't wake up until 11 - my body must have decided it needed to catch up on sleep). My brother came home in the afternoon and then we took the kids (actually managed to get my teenager out of bed and out of the house!) to the local football pitch to have a kick about with his girlfriend and her kids, plus two girls we invited to join us. Then we did some volleyball practice to please DD.

I made salmon and hollandaise sauce for dinner, never can arsed to make hollandaise but decided a special dinner was needed today.

Now I'm sitting with DS while he tries to fall asleep without the big light on. DD has gone for a walk, which is another miracle, and OH is in the basement making music. My brother has buggered off to his girlfriend's for the rest of the weekend.

I’m curled up in bed after a lovely bath, knackered!
I have cleaned the house from top to bottom, walked the dogs twice and avoided getting soaked both times so that’s a win!
DS, DDIL and DGCs are coming tomorrow, hence big tidy up. DH was supposed to be helping 🙄 but he’s got the attention span of a gnat, it’s far less stressful if I just get on with it!
I just have one bed to make up tomorrow and that’s it.
ZDog2 has been here a month now; she’s such a little poppet after an awful previous life, she makes me laugh just looking at her, a funny little sausage 😍

We're on the train home. I did indeed join dd and her friends @frozendaisy ! Rocking the same floppy haircut as Elijah Hewson 🤣...he wears it better. We were barricade for the first show, so dd leaving early was worth it. Further back for the second.

@DilemmaDelilah what a pain with the meds/being told not to go in! I'd at least want checking out. Glad to see you're better today!

@Zippedydodah how're you fixed to clean my house top to bottom tomorrow? I'll make the one bed for you...
