Have you ever turned up much too early to an event or holiday?

A very scatter brained friend just showed up at a hotel a year early for a mutual friend’s wedding. She’d booked the hotel for the wedding but the wedding isn’t until next year.

Has anyone else done similar?

I phoned friends to ask if they’d got stuck in traffic on the way to meet up for Sunday lunch. DH and I had been waiting at the pub for half an hour and assumed there was a problem.
There was. I’d taken us there a week too soon.

A year early 😂 omg that's epic

A good few years ago I’d gone to a small gig in London. A few of us were hanging around the venue a little while before doors opened and we got chatting to a couple of the fellas working on the door. Apparently 2 people had turned up a day early for the event we were waiting for. They’d flown in from Europe somewhere and unfortunately had to miss the gig as their flight home was the following morning (hours before the gig) and they couldn’t afford to change their flights!

I turned up to my work Xmas do one week too early. We were meeting at the office and I couldn’t understand why everyone seemed so “normal” and kept commenting on how glamorous I was looking.
