As per title, looking for someone that can answer a question about a particular roundabout.
It has a 2 lane entry with a single lane exit and confused about what I should do when turning right as the lanes don't spiral out so feel stuck on the inside lane of the roundabout. Been told not to cross lanes once on a roundabout but there doesn't seem to be an option to avoid this.

Where does the Highway Code say that? It says:
When taking an exit to the right or going full circle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise

  • signal right and approach in the right-hand lane
  • keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundabout
It explicitly tells you you should change lanes.

You have literally just quoted the bitvof the highway code I was referring to so not sure what you are questioning??

So it says you should change lanes. And you must have misunderstood your instructor who said you can't change lanes. That is all.

I didn't say the highway code said you couldn't change lanes. I was referring to the fact the highway code said you should select the right lane fir turning right unless road markings indicate otherwise

You should, but then you change lanes in order to exit the roundabout.

Ok, sounds like we're all in agreement then. Other than you mishearing your instructor.

Your diagram is correct, driving instructor since 2007 approach in the right lane, then signal right on approach follow in the right lane from, half way passed the exit before check mirror then signal left, check mirror just to make sure it's safe then leave..!!
