Just won £1000 from a competition on a PG Tips box

But I don’t have the receipt 😩😩 that was the day I was too slow to tap ‘Yes’ on the self scan checkout when it asked if I wanted a receipt. What the hell do I do?? It says on the T&Cs to retain your receipt 😞

Honestly I was the same! Even as I scanned the QR code on the box and entered the details I was inwardly rolling my eyes and scoffing at myself for even bothering because no-one ever wins those things! I couldn’t believe it when it popped up with £1000 win, my hands were shaking like a leaf!!

Around 97/98, they had a promo on Coke where it got certain codes under the tab, you won hi fi systems to free Coke.

Bought a can at the vending machine at the 6th form centre. Opened it and found the code for a CD Walkman. Think there were 70 of these! How many cans of Coke and Coca Cola products had this promotion?

Oh my god. So after I won yesterday it said I had to wait for a text with a link to enter my bank details to claim the cash, I just got the text and entered all my details (I have never checked my bank details so THOROUGHLY!) AND THEY DIDN’T EVEN ASK FOR A PHOTO OF THE BLOODY RECEIPT!!!

That’s so weird I did it yesterday and couldn’t get any result until I uploaded the photo. Didn’t win obv! Was it a QR code or a different one? Congrats btw that’s fab news.

What, really?? The PG Tips one? I scanned the QR code and had to enter my name, email, mobile number, (can’t remember if it asked for home address) where I bought them and something about how often I bought them. It didn’t ask for a receipt at all!

Asking for bank details would make me nervous. Who are you giving your bank details to and why would they need those details to give you the prize. But then I'm a real cynic about these shameless ways of getting people to part with their personal financial data....

Morning all! The first thing I’ve done every morning this week is check my bank to see if the money has landed yet, it’s there today! Hurrah!

No one can actaully do anything with a sort code and account number alone. It’s card details you need to be weary of giving out. No one can pay you money without your account details.
