Keto Diet - low carb = low fibre = cancer risk?

I’ve been doing Keto on and off for about 2 years now but after reading the thread here “ why have young people started getting cancer” , I have worked myself up with worry.
Apparently Keto is good for bowel / colon cancer as it starves the tumour from glucose but then on the cancer research website, low fibre results in a high risk of bowel cancer. Then Google tells me so do artificial sweeteners. So I’ve been eating treats that contain erythritol or malititol whilst on Keto.

So I vowed myself to stop keto and eat some carbs. I googled keto and cancer and it says keto is good for cancer sufferers?! But if you don’t eat much carbs, you don’t get much fibre so higher risk of bowel cancer.
Fibre is in mostly oats, brown bread, brown rice etc = high carbs.

So what do I do?? So much conflicting information.

I think some studies suggest keto can be useful if you already have cancer, but if you want to prevent bowel cancer then you need fibre. So, if you don’t have cancer, eating some whole grain foods would be your best bet.

You can eat plenty of fibre on a keto diet. Leafy greens, broccoli, cauliflower, nuts, salad etc, plus a small amount of berries, lentils, chickpeas

Do you feel really well on a keto diet? That’s the important thing

Add in your cruciferous vegetables and some flaxseed and you’ll be fine. I make 90 second bread with flaxseed and have it with cream cheese. Yum!

What about erythritol or malititol? Do I stop having it?
