Anyone else get kicks from being organised?

Working Mum of 2 here, aged 5 and 2. I work 4 days, DH full-time.
We don’t earn huge amounts probably very avgerage salaries, so I have to be organised to cover the mortgage and childcare fees and have some money spare at the end of each month.

The other day a friend caught me navigating the wonderful website that is Tax-free Childcare, and said to me she couldn’t be bothered with all that because it’s too much effort and then it slipped out my mouth “I quite like doing it”… this then made both my friend and me laugh, which then lead to me telling her about my spreadsheet, which I keep to show me all the outgoings for that month, going as far as 3 years in advance with possible pay rises and inflation formulas added in. She was perplexed that I could enjoy let alone be bothered with all of that.

Anyway all this has got me thinking, am I unusual?

I have no idea how to do spreadsheet as I’m before their time, but I do keep running lists. Christmas ideas all year for example
i have a strict routine for housework( adapted from TOMM and check bank credit cards daily and keep a mental note of “ spare cash” to additionally pay them down
Hair appointments and Dental and dog groomers booked before I leave noted and money accounted for
Nothing like when I had 3 DC at home, but I find it calming to be organised, particularly money wise as I live on lifelong disability benefits.

I am very organised if it's something that's important to me, otherwise it's complete chaos.

When I decided to take early retirement, I devised a spreadsheet with the exact amount of work pension I'd get with the actuarial reductions shown by month of retirement.

Holidays where we're staying in multiple places I use tripit - I love seeing everything set out so neatly.

Booking stuff that I don't care about, I'll often get the date, month or even year wrong

My home finance spreadsheet is a thing of beauty. My cashflow goes over the next 10yrs. My Google calendar is shared with the family and has everything on there, from school/ college/ work / renewal dates etc.

I love organisation stuff especially to do with money. I enjoy doing my budget spreadsheets and writing to do lists and all that sort of thing.
