Does it sound as if my db is autistic?

Sorry if I've posted in the wrong place. We had a gathering recently with some distant relatives. One of them said to me they think my db (late 50s) is autistic. I mentioned it to him but he was having none of it! Thinking back to our childhood it would explain a lot. For instance:

  • was never in to typical 'boys' stuff like football, rough & tumble type things in the playground
  • was a bit of a loner as a kid
  • as a young adult preferred the company of much older people & was always in town talking to pensioners on park benches etc
  • was quite violent towards my mum as a teen & things I did, like experimenting with fashion, hairstyles etc, embarrassed him no end
  • always wore a shirt, sometimes with a tie, no matter what the weather
  • is very stubborn & takes great pleasure in correcting people, sometimes quite aggressively
  • if he tells a story, he'll go on & on for ages, giving you the full unnecessary details
  • has never had a proper relationship (to my knowledge)
  • has a fantastic memory for facts & figures and things thar happened decades ago, sometimes before he was even born!
Any opinions welcome. Thank you

It definitely sounds like he has some traits, but unless he himself is pursuing a diagnosis it's irrelevant.

Nobody can diagnose him based on that.

I don’t think it’s very kind of you to post this thread.

I just wanted to get some ideas. My mum & I went through a lot due to his violent behaviour & I thought it might go some way to explain it

Not everything is SEN not all behaviour is SEN or traits sometimes its just how people are.
I was embarrassed of my sister an mum as a teen.
I was not in to girly stuff i didnt like rough games either i could and still talk and chat to much.
I live in shorts and flipflops no matter the weather.
Im also stubborn an will correct someone if they are wrong.
Ive only had 2 very serious relationships the rest are ONS.
I also get on with much older people.
I am not autistic.
But that is how i am as a person as an individual we would look like twats if we was all the same type of person.
Terrible twos and terrible teens dose not make some one autistic
