It's Friday night, what are your teens upto right now and how old are they?

Mine is 16 and has a group of friends round in his bedroom after getting food at the local takeaway.

OP posts:

19 year old is on their way home (might be home by now) to their Uni house-share after a placement at a GP surgery (second year medical student).

Bunnykins34 · 28/03/2025 19:22

My daughter is 19 and is currently doing uni work and being over the moon as she passed her carry chair and life support test today (previously she kept tripping up the stairs and falling on her bum whilst going up backwards with the carry chair and patient strapped in).
Shes in her 1st year at uni as a Student Paramedic 😀

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 28/03/2025 19:24

DS16 is at archery.
DD13 is at her new cricket club sign-on evening.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 28/03/2025 19:24

19yo dd is sat on the sofa with me watching telly, we have had a take away and she said she’s going to bed soon as has to be up v early for work tomorrow.

Nearly 14 year old is currently finishing his Martial Arts class, he mentors the younger ones for an hour before his seniors class, then he will be home for lots and lots of food and maybe go on a call to game with some friends for an hour.

Ha, exactly the same thing going on here with DS16. I’m pleased they are here and I don’t have to taxi around!

18 year old is at his friends in North London for the weekend. I rarely see him at the weekend.

20 year old (ok not a teen but close) is at uni - she is at her boyfriends flat making dinner

CreationNat1on · 28/03/2025 19:27

Soon to be 17 year old, is serving drinks or canapés (??) at his friend's parent's work event.

15 year old just finished eating his noodles.

edwinbear · 28/03/2025 19:27

Both DC broke up at lunchtime today. DS 15 has lounged about on his phone all afternoon gearing himself up for 3 weeks of GCSE revision.

DD 13 went out for lunch with a friend, then came home and had a massive strop about being expected to help with packing for the school ski trip, that she leaves for at 1.45am tonight. She thinks she should have been able to lounge about on her bloody phone whilst I did it for her. I’m obviously a terrible parent for expecting her to put her own pants in a suitcase.

Ds is doing an A-level maths paper.

This is not a usual occurrence, merely something that had become an obvious necessity in the face of what he needs in his exams this summer. Between humphs he is pointing out that he is hungry despite having eaten a large dinner.

MsInterpret · 28/03/2025 19:27

12yo watching Young Sheldon with me and DH with pizza while I MN.

15yo just left for babysitting

Mamadothehump · 28/03/2025 19:28

18 year old currently cooking us all dinner.

16 & 14 year olds waiting for said dinner in their bedrooms, probably chatting to their friends. We will all eat in the lounge together.

Got to go - I’ve just been told it’s ready!!!

SpringCalling · 28/03/2025 19:29

Amazingly mine is actually packing for her upcoming ski trip. Go to admit I will check later as past experience suggests some obvious things will be missed!

ConnieHeart · 28/03/2025 19:30

Dd2 (just turned 16) is eating dinner in the front room, probably talking to a friend. She wanted dinner at Wetherspoons but I said no as I wanted her to have some proper nutrition after eating pizza at school every day. So I've done us a prawn stir fry with loads of veg

Meadowfinch · 28/03/2025 19:31

Playing computer game and eating pepperoni pizza.

3of5 · 28/03/2025 19:31

DS (13) is online with his friend until 8pm (so I get to watch TOTP on BBC4 without his moaning).
We’ll be altogether at 8pm as Friday Night is Movie Night and tonight’s choice is Hot Fuzz

Goneback2school · 28/03/2025 19:32

19 year old is at his dad's house and 12 year old is a sports training. He will probably want to go back on Xbox after but will be watching YouTube instead.

BarbieKew · 28/03/2025 19:32

They’ve both got endofterm-itus and are knackered. Both in their bedrooms, one cackling on the phone to her bestie having been to the cafe in the park after school, the other went to the gym and is now fighting zombies or something on his Xbox. We’ve had a big tea, but they’ll be down to fridge raid in an hour or two. I’m enjoying the peace with a cuppa.

liams160 · 28/03/2025 19:32

hello

shellyleppard · 28/03/2025 19:33

16 year old on his way home from friends in next town. 19 year old decompressing with the playstation after a lovely stir fry dinner 😁

Sparklehead · 28/03/2025 19:34

15 (almost 16) year old DD is round her boyfriends house having dinner. Will collect her around 10pm. 13 year old DD is at a recently started gymnastics class with her BF (I am not pleased about the Friday evening time of it, but hey ho), tween DS and sitting with me, having pud and watching Modern Family.

Changed18 · 28/03/2025 19:35

DD14 in park with her friends, trying to convince me to say yes to impromptu sleepover. (It’s a no unless she tidies her room - not going to happen).

DS18 probably gaming. Though he did play tennis earlier, after school.

1900s · 28/03/2025 19:40

Eldest 22 has work alnight tonight youngest 20 going clubbing with mates.

Chipsahoy · 28/03/2025 19:55

17 yr old ds is currently driving my car around and around the barns. He’s determined to get his license asap.
13yr old ds is gaming in his room.

lifemakeover · 28/03/2025 20:04

Enjoying the not so humble bragging here 😁

My teens are 'out'. Older one almost certainly up to something unsanctioned. Younger one almost certainly not.
