Driving test on Good Friday

Is this going to be chaos ? 10.30am on good Friday morning in a busy town. It’s one of the hardest test centres in my county too & I think the UK. Will Good Friday cause much more chaos? I’m unsure if this is a good idea or not …. Very nervous. It’s busy and chaotic or a normal day with roundabouts and diversions at every turning but worried this could make it harder😬

If the weather is nice then I think there’ll be an increase in traffic, yes.

Good luck!

I would say it would be quieter than normal. Far quieter. No parents doing the school run, no commuters.

If it’s busy it might make it easier, the longer spent stick in traffic the less time actually driving.

I agree that busy is better as the test is the same length of time regardless. But I don’t necessarily think it will be busier.

Friday mornings are always quieter than other weekdays, weirdly. But you should find it okay - if people are lying in because of no work/school, they won't be out until lunchtime mostly. I had my test on a Wednesday morning and it was okay, although it was back in 2007 so going on 18 years now.

Remember you only have to drive without making a mistake for half an hour.

I stupidly booked mine on a normal Friday lunchtime and the roads were full of people knocking off work early for the weekend. However, I got to demonstrate my excellent clutch control while stuck in traffic, and had plenty of time to think and make awkward small talk with the driving examiner and HIS examiner who was sitting in the back assessing him and I passed with no faults.
