Are you a follower or a leader?

I think I’m mostly a follower but can be a leader at times. I feel more comfortable when someone else is taking charge though, if I’m honest. Maybe because I have to take charge at home so I don’t want to be leading all the time, it’s exhausting.

I wonder if these are natural personality traits or if they can be learned.

I’m guessing statistically, the majority of people are followers and the minority leaders. I should have done an AIBU to see though how it tallies.

or is that even true? Leaders are needed in all walks of life, from scout leaders to office managers to politicians.

Leader in home and personal life. Just naturally how I am. Honed from a crap upbringing and being self reliant from an early age.

My DD says my job is telling men what to do all day. In reality I love building a team and pushing them all to shine in their own right, I love leading.

Sometimes I wish someone would make the decisions at home. But as its me and DD(11) and two cats, I guess that's me too.

I'm guessing there are different aspects of life at play here. One can be a leader at work and a follower when it comes to society expectations and life in general, etc. It seems OP is asking mainly about work life and to a smaller extent, home/domestic life.
