Reasonably priced July holiday - does it exist?

Looking to go away in July as soon as the schools close (22nd).

Holiday for myself, DH, 12 year old and DM who has limited mobility and gets very tired. DM needs her own room and toilet and quite frankly we need space from DM.

DM wants to go somewhere 'different' in a creating memories sort of way, which feels difficult considering her mobility. 12 year old wants a pool. DH would like a lunchtime beer and I just want a break and down time and not to go into debt for a holiday. Could be in the UK or overseas.

Any suggestions. I feel totally stuck. Has to be July, DM is visting from a different country.

it’s hard without knowing your budget but here I’ve found some that I would say are reasonably priced and to be honest it’s probably cheaper to go abroad than it would be to stay in the uk

Thanks I don't know our budget either! My mum says she will treat us but I dont know if she realises how expensive holidays are.

I agree abroad is probably cheaper.

To be honest minimum would be around 1,600 for everyone, that’s self catering if you would prefer all inclusive I think 2,000

Centerparcs in France or Holland?

I'd get a villa somewhere and book flights separately.

You can make sure you have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Fill the fridge with beer and wine. Happy days.

Thanks a villa could work

Lots of destinations and DH can take DS on excursions if you feel like staying on board and relaxing

We did a Norway cruise in the summer holidays. DM could have a balcony room and then enjoy the holiday even when tired.

Ours was last minute and cheap but we had no requirements (I.e we picked "any outside window cabin") ... Once you "need" things like particular deck levels or accessible room types it can escalate.

It was great though as a lot of entertainment is in easy reach, great food, easy back to bed for anyone that's tires, and the fjords are lovely viewed from a balcony cabin.

How limited is your mum’s mobility Op?

Look at cruises direct from Southampton with P&O. I've found them great for multi generational family holidays.
