Can anyone recommend some good science and anatomy books for kids?

For a very bright 6yo. He’s really interested in learning about bodies, specifically the brain and other major organs, and what makes us work etc.
He’s also really into how other things work, like electronics, technology, the internet etc and I think he’d really enjoy reading about things like physics and chemistry too.

He’s incredibly bright for his age and just loves to learn. He soaks up knowledge like a sponge and he’s always the kid in class with his hand up who wants to learn more (he absolutely LOVES maths, geography and history! So maybe books on these too?).
If anyone has any good book recommendations that would be fab!

The Adam Kay book "Kay's Anatomy" is great for kids. Factual but humorous and enjoyed greatly by my kids!

damn. I was going to suggest that too!
some of the horrible history books look at medical treatments.

I would highly recommend these Usborn lift the flap books they are very detailed and contain a lot of information. We had a collection of them when the kids where at primary and I'd say they are suitable as fact books right the way up to year 6.

Seconding Usborme! I learnt a lot from them too, and they're robust.

The Operation Ouch magazines are good too, and the book and the show (if they're still doing it) when he's older.

I mean the West End show.

I can't say The Quest for the Golden Poo would be quite my own choice of theatre, but DD loved it!

Pretty cool update! I ordered 3 operation ouch books from World of Books and one of them is signed by Dr Chris!

Although I did find a 'lift the flap' book about where babies come from in the library and really had to wonder what flap we would be lifting?!
