No clue, really. DS will be almost 23 and, I presume, off exploring the world off his own bat. Will have written more books I’m proud of, may well have moved countries.

rivalsbinge · 17/03/2025 22:41

I’ll be almost 60, god I hope I can retire.

SpottedDonkey · 17/03/2025 22:48

Hopefully, I will be retired & travelling the world. That’s the plan, anyway, and it’s what motivates me to get out of bed in the mornings.

itsnotalwaysthateasy · 17/03/2025 23:07

I will be 62, retired but working during the winter on an ad hoc basis. Possibly married, will have sold the house that I've lived in for the longest time in my life and will have bought a new place with my husband.

Chaseandstatus · 17/03/2025 23:12

Hopefully -

My children will have moved out and I’ll have a cleaner. I will live in peace and calm and I will burn expensive candles on a regular basis.

LadyGAgain · 17/03/2025 23:14

I hope to have 2 adult children who are comfortable with their decisions and happy.

I hope to have retired from my corporate job and be more local.

I hope to be in a choir.

I hope to volunteer at the theatre.

I hope my lovely mum is still healthy and with me. Same for MIL who is also wonderful.

I hope my DH and I are loving a different freedom and exploring the world together.

Sid9nie · 17/03/2025 23:16

I'll be retired DC finished uni and out of house I expect. Probably widowed.

Mbhhhvff · 17/03/2025 23:21

My children will be young adults.
The mortgage should be paid off.
Hopefully I will be working by then! (Currently I’m a SAHM who is finding it near impossible to get anyone to employ me because of the break).

Wildywondrous · 17/03/2025 23:28

Looks like there are quite a few people the same age as me.

I'll be about to turn 60, I hope I'll be retired, I doubt I'll be doing my current job as I'm on my feet all day and I'm finding now that my back is incredibly painful after about 4 hours.

Kids will be early 20's so not as reliant on me.

It'd be great if my days were filled with dog walks, pub lunches and afternoon naps.

WinterFoxes · 18/03/2025 06:34

I'll have retired - at last! DH and I will have downsized. I should have a cat and a greenhouse for growing veg ( in my dreams)
One of my grown up DC might be married by then.

😭🤭 thank you 🥰, clearly this is going to work and I will not give up at the first sign of sugar 😭

Keep a brief journal every night on your phone. It really helps you to stay on track. Well done!x

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 18/03/2025 06:39

I don’t think I’ll have the same job. In fact, I don’t think I’ll have the same job by the end of this year.

My marriage is pretty rocky so I doubt it’ll survive another 10 years.

Theextraordinaryisintheordinary · 18/03/2025 06:42

NormasArse · 17/03/2025 19:22

I hope you are. Keep the faith 💐.

More people are long term survivors of cancer now than ever before.x
Edit: I love Berlin too. It’s the best!

Haveapotato · 18/03/2025 15:10

Ddog won't be here 😒

frozendaisy · 18/03/2025 15:47

I am hoping for a flying car of some sort

I keep a journal! Such a good thing to do, keeps my mind organised as well x

MaltipooMama · 18/03/2025 19:54

Oh my god I’ll have two pre-teens 😭 one boy and one girl! We are planning to move into a bigger house next year so that definitely should have happened by then, maybe I’ll be able to take on more responsibility at work and oh god just had the worst thought, my lovely little dog may no longer be here. And now I’m very sad, it started so well 😢

mamaduckbone · 19/03/2025 19:44

I'll be nearly 60.
I'm assuming dcs will have moved out of home.
Maybe grandchildren, but probably not yet.
I'll still be working but hopefully not the hours I do now.
Hopefully a bit more time for travel and fun.

Tiddlywinkly · 19/03/2025 19:57

I'll be 51. Both kids will be adults and uni age or older. I hope to be going on some childfree holidays and getting used to more freedom (I love my kids btw, but life changes a lot after you have them).

Hoping to plow a lot more into my pension that decade. Wanting to go part time by 55.

Taytocrisps · 19/03/2025 20:02

It's unlikely my Dad will still be alive in ten years time Sad.

DD will (hopefully) be a fully fledged adult, with a full-time job in her chosen career.

She may be married and I may have a grandchild.

I hope to be retired in ten years time, or on the verge of retirement.

Just hoping I'm still enjoying good health then.

ShaunaSadeki · 19/03/2025 20:08

I will be 53.
We will not have paid the mortgage off.
DS will be 32, maybe I will have grand children 😍
DD will be 24 and I have no idea what she will be up to. She is having a bit of a hard time at the moment and I hope she is healthy and happy and doing whatever she likes with her life.
