  1. where is the cheapest place to look for an all inclusive family holiday abroad. I have been looking at love holidays . Is there a suggestion of others?

  2. is insurance important?

  3. is 10kg case per person enough for 5 night stay ? For a warm place.

Don’t book through love holidays, they’re shit. Look at TUI or Jet2

MinnieCoops · 15/03/2025 10:14

And insurance is essential. You would be very reckless to travel without it. It’ll either be the best money you spend or money spent for nothing but you really shouldn’t ever go abroad without it.

  1. have a look on Tui in case there’s a free child space
  2. absolutely critical, buy it as soon as you book
  3. yes I should think 10kg each would be plenty, especially if you distribute across the family, when we have 20kg we don’t tend to take a suitcase each.

Oh and have a look at Holiday Pirates

Don’t touch love holidays with a barge pole, they are not a member of ABTA for a start.

Maddy70 · 15/03/2025 10:23

Just ensure they're members of abta. All agents can be shit
Yes holiday insurance is cheap so take it
I only ever travel with 10k

Insurance is essential unless you want to be a twat who sets up a begging page to repatriate your child.

No recommendations for where but insurance is essential.
My son had to go to A&E in America and insurance covered the (after deductible) $1200 cost for the four hours he was there.
My father had to pay £12,000 to be flown home from Spain on a medical plane after having a stroke. Usually got insurance through their credit card but had used a different one to book the trip and weren’t covered.

storminabuttercup · 15/03/2025 10:43

You’ll find that although say jet 2 look more expensive than love holidays by the time you get to check out it’s more expensive with such as love holidays, jet 2 quote for everything like luggage etc plus have better service and as mentioned members of ABTA which is a must
insurance is essential and book as soon as you book the holiday, DS had an accident 3 weeks before a holiday and couldn’t fly, we were covered
