Any paeds, HV's or similar around? Baby development concerns

So I am just posting to see what others thoughts are, this is actually my job so I should know!! But as her mum the answers just don't seem very clear.

She is almost 20 months old.

I will also preface by saying we are waiting on a paeds, physio, orthoptics and audiology appt. I've been begging for an early SALT appt or some intervention but no luck so far

Her head circumference is measuring above 99.6th centile. Her weight and length are around the 50th. GP not concerned, but I am.

Her gross motor skills have been noticably delayed since about 6 months. She can't sit up from lying down, but sits extremely well when she is sat up by an adult. She can't roll, crawl or pull to stand, she stands well when stood up by an adult, feet flat to floor, legs look ok. She will walk confidently if I hold one hand, but she clings on for dear life. She doesn't cruise around furniture. She will take one or two independent steps but rarely. Doesn't stand up in the middle of the room. No weakness in either side of body.

Fine motor is delayed but she her grasp is ok. She just doesn't stack bricks, pass from one hand to the other, home a crayon etc.

She doesn't really babble other than dadadada but that doesn't mean 'daddy' it's just random. She doesn't show much understanding.

Her social communication is a mixed bag, a few red flags but I am largely unconcerned. She doesn't reliably respond to her name and she doesn't point to request or share interest by pointing. She does however share her attention/interest in other ways. Beautiful eye contact. She will look to me if she has seen something good or has found something interesting. Also lots of big social smiles and giggles. She generally engages well with toys, she is interested in people and the things around her, no repetitive behaviours. She eats a varied diet, sleeps well.

Nursery are not concerned.. their lack of concern concerns me but that's another story!!! I had to beg the HV to come out, had a staff nurse come out eventually who thankfully made the necessary referrals.

It could be something neuro related. I know there's a few red flags for ASD but that just isn't feeling like it's it... I think I'd know. With her head and all the motor delays it just feels like there's more. Clinging on for the paeds appt.

Hi OP,
Also work in early intervention…can I ask a little about what your birth was like?
My initial thought was hypermobility? Or global developmental delay.
is there a long wait in your area for the relevant assessments?

Ex-HV/paeds nurse. HC in isolation measuring 99th centile isn’t necessarily an issue - but what centile was her head at 6 weeks or 12 months?
Any change in 2 or more centiles (increase or decrease) should prompt an automatic referral from GP to paeds for investigation into possible causes.
This is the same for weight & length too.

There could be a number of things causing your concerns, or it could be nothing. If the relevant referrals have been made, it’s really just a wait to be seen now. I hope you get some answers (either way) soon. The only way to expedite this is to pay and see private health services. It must be a worrying time for you.
