Date night ideas that don't involve eating!

Have a child-free couple of evenings in a couple of weeks and had planned on going out for a nice dinner or two.

Husband now has a colonoscopy booked so we won't be able to.

Any ideas for date night that don't involve eating?! We only have the cinema, but there's nothing much on, or bowling, but we did that last week.

Live music or seeing a comedian are our usual date nights. Can't remember the last time we went to the cinema or had a meal without DS!

You could also look at some slightly different activities like escape rooms or murder mystery nights (sometimes hotels host them).

Escape room
Pottery class
Spa

If we go out we've done:

Crazy golf
Karaoke
Escape room
Quiz night at the pub

Staying in we do board games with nice music on and candles lit to make it feel a bit special

Do you mean he has a colonoscopy the next day? If he's got to take the laxatives for bowel prep he probably won't want to be far from a toilet and might not feel like date night. Play it safe and plan a movie night at home if that's the case.

Thanks for the ideas, I will see what's on in our area.

@AltitudeCheck no, don't worry, we won't be going out the night before the colonoscopy, appreciate your kind advice though.

Darts (have a look at Flight Club)
Axe throwing
Gallery or an exhibition
Theatre
Comedy club
Go into a city or town and have a wander round the shops and chat

What about going for a walk together. Near to me there is a lovely lake DH and I sometimes walk around and part way round we just sit and chat. Then walk the rest of the way around.

DH and my middle aged option:
Theatre/Opera/Ballet/Musical/Comedian
Art Gallery/Museum/Stately home
Cooking class
Walk

My sporty 17yo's options:
Bowling
Roller/ice skating
Golf range/crazy golf

Are you sure he won't be able to eat? I am allowed to eat up to the day before my colonoscopy and most certainly wouldn't want to be out on a date night. I am then absolutely ravenous the evening of my colonoscopy (so after the procedure) and whilst I might be feeling a bit too delicate to bowl or do an escape room, a low key meal in a place that doesn't require too much effort would probably be quite pleasant.

Add to that shuffle board which is sometimes linked to a flight club venue. Indoor crazy golf, the cube, curling.

bowling ? Ten pin I meant although I bet crown green would be fun.
