I try not to eat UPF. There is a kettle but no microwave or toaster. I’m also trying to lose weight.

I’ve made a salad the night before a few times but it always ends up wilted and wet, despite keeping the dressing separate, and Im ravenous again within the hour. They fill me up for ages at home so it must be doing something to do with them being unappetising after a night in the fridge. Im looking for suggestions that aren’t sandwiches.

A flask with lentil homemade lentil soup - very filling.
If you don't want UPF - Crosta Mollica wraps are good (just wholewheat and olive oil.
Leftovers from dinner.
More filling salad- I like Puy lentils with smoked salmon, feta, tomato, Cucumber, bit of vinaigrette
Snack on Greek yoghurt, nuts, dates, breadsticks.
I have porridge at home then usually take a preboiled egg or two and have them when I get to work for protein.

Thanks. I do buy those wraps and Jason’s bread, but am trying to lose weight so cutting down on it. It’s not the volume of the salad putting me off taking salads, it’s that they get limp and watery. I might try soup next week and see if it stays warm. I’m not bothered about snacks, I just want a nice midday meal that’s filling and tasty without needing a microwave or toaster.

I went with mackerel korma curry with rice, lentils, sweetcorn and peas, in case anyone else visits this thread looking for inspiration.

I love a snacky lunch, boiled eggs, seafood sticks, kimchi, mini Pepperami or salami slices, low fat hummus and pitta or breadsticks, carrot and cucumber, pickled gherkins and pickled beetroot.

I take soup year round. Batch cook it at the weekend (have a pressure so can do quite quickly) so not having the same soup every day. It’s a good way to have a good range of veg each day.

i tend to have something like some cooked chicken or falafels and humous with it, and a piece of fruit. Also trying to lose weight so that all tends to come in fairly low calorie.

To help keep a food flask warm, fill it first with freshly boiled water and leave it for five mins to warm it up before you fill with hot soup.

I think you'd like a food flask, it will increase your options since you don't have access to a microwave at work.
