We are flying with jet2 in May, with 2 children, can we take a trunki as hand luggage for the children? Thank you

Even if t meets the jet2 hand luggage allowances, are you sure you want to take them? Unless your kids are bg enough to guarantee they will carry their own luggage, don't take them. They are an absolute pain if you end up carrying child plus case. And using them as a pull along with the child sitting on them is awful for anyone in the vicinity who gets their ankles knocked.

They also aren't the easiest to get stuff in or out of when on the plane.

Basically: reconsider the use of trunki's for the kids. My preference: a rucksac per adult. Leaves hands free for kids, and is possible to carry a child is needed.

They are shite. Don't inflict them on other people! You can't access stuff easily, kids don't want to be on them and you'll end up dragging it. Get them a ruck sack.

Another one to tell you they are rubbish! With a backpack you can stuff things in and pull out quickly. Trunki involves opening the entire case which takes up an entire seat and everything spills out.

Sit on doesn't work as they veer about and are a bloody nuisance. Ours was a waste of money.

I bought one from Vinted years ago and was hoping my daughter (3) could use it in a couple of weeks when we go away but actually I think I'll resell it after reading these comments! Think I dodged a bullet!

Thanks for all the responses! Will just get a backpack instead!

I used it as hand luggage once. The idea is better than the reality. Always did rucksacks after

We used trunkis for years, several times a year, and found them extremely useful. Never had to carry them and never collided with anyone else. If you can find a good secondhand one, definitely worth a try.
