Storage boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, tape etc

I’m moving and everything‘s going into storage. I’ll be buying boxes, wardrobe boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, packing tape, fragile tape, etc.

Where is the best place to buy all of this from? Amazon? The removal companies all sell boxes etc but they seem to be rather expensive.

Should I be looking for anything in particular when it comes to boxes? Specific size or something.

should I be looking for anything in particular for the wardrobe hanging boxes? I would hate them to collapse because everything will be in storage for about 12 months so they need to be sturdy/good quality.

I've had stuff in storage for a few years now and used a variety of things including those big square bags, proper storage bags from Amazon, random boxes, those big plastic boxes you can get from B&M, The Range etc.
A lot will depend on how much space you have and the type of place you'll be using.
Oh and for packing stuff my brother uses eBay for big rolls of packing paper, bubble wrap, etc

Do you think my clothes will be okay in there? I was thinking of popping some sachets of silica gel in do you think that might help?

I haven't used the gel sachets in mine and they seem to be ok, not that I've got anything particularly expensive stored. Obviously when I do unpack they'll need a quick freshen up.

Heavy stuff like books needs to go in small boxes, lighter stuff can go in bigger boxes.

Label the boxes on each side, and keep an inventory!

Are you moving it all yourself or using a removal company?

Ask somewhere like Facebook buy and se group if any one has moved recently and has boxes to sell.

Tea bags work as moisture catchers.

Get a packing tape dispenser. It will save so much time.
