Is it possible to get a medical record corrected?

I take Sertraline to manage general anxiety. I asked the GP for it in a very brief telephone consultation about 18 months ago. However, in the NHS App the health condition is recorded as "depressed mood", which isn't accurate. I'd like to get it corrected, not least so that I can declare it correctly on my travel insurance. Does anyone know if it's possible to ask for a correction? I feel this should be possible, in line with GDPR principles.

Yes, you can ask for a correction. That being said, from a travel insurance perspective being depressed is probably considered better than being anxious (people with anxiety are considered high risk for not travelling so more likely to be more expensive to insure). That’s not really what you asked, but yes, it’s possible to correct.

That's interesting, thanks. Where did you get the info re the insurance premium? I was listening to a BBC Martin Lewis podcast today and he said that depression can have a big impact on insurance premiums. But maybe "depression" and "depressed mood" are two different things.
