Hi SP. It's a tiny little critter, which gets it's nickname from its ability to move about by releasing small filaments of web material that catch the wind and enable it to give the appearance of flying. If the spider then lands in someone's hair, it's supposed to be lucky and the person will come into money (some chance). It belongs to the same family of spiders as sheet web weavers, which is a name you might be familiar with across the pond.
