Looking for inspiration (for myself)!

I'm a carer so rarely go out/have time for hobbies. Mid 40s, recently quit smoking so self care is a bit more on the agenda than it has been. Love reading thrillers/crime novels and already have a kindle.

If you have any suggestions please share!

Or just tell me what you would wish for if you had a birthday coming up and I'll see if any of you ideas inspire me 😊

That’d be easy, a new pair of telescopic loppers to replace the ones I broke last week (they were a birthday present some years ago, my favourite presents are garden —weaponry— tools.

I don't really want much - people tend to complain that I'm hard to buy for 😅

However last year I bought DW an extendable bath table. It's wooden, with spaces either side for snacks/drinks/candles etc and has a lift up bit in the middle for her to put her books or tablet. I also bought dissolving bath petals to make it all pretty looking and she loved it.

Actually, I'd like the home marshmallow toasting sets. They're from the Naked Marshmallow company and have loads of flavours!

It is my birthday next week. I won’t get the one thing I want which is a full night’s uninterrupted sleep.

Not keen on "stuff" any more really unless consumable. DH will get me some Molton Brown Rhubarb and rose shower stuff. DD22 a scented candle. DD24 Lindt chocolates. We will go out for a meal at some point around all family birthdays and have cake - lemon drizzle for mine. (Chocolate for others)

Spa day with a friend complete with massage

Mine is the week after next. I would like the same as every year - for someone else to decide what’s for dinner, cook it, and clean up after. Other than that, I’d rather it wasn’t mentioned at all. At a push, some compost would be great!

I hear you loud and clear. LOUD AND CLEAR! When asked what I would like I said 'Sunday dinner out' no prep, no cooking, no yelling up the stairs to teens that dinner is ready 36 times before they grace me with their presence, no clean up,

Did I get it? Yes. I booked it myself.
